NOTE: You can use MapToGlobe to measure distances also. This has been especially useful in determining travel times for my books.

 

To do that yourself:

At the top of the page, select "Options" then select "Distance" and enter the radius of the earth in miles: 3958.8

(Don't put a comma in there or the universe will implode!)
